The RTX 5070 has 6,144 cores, 12GB, 250 W and a 650 W recommendation. In TechPowerUp’s 2026 test suite the RTX 5070 Ti averages 124.8 FPS at 1440p and the RTX 5070 averages 101.3 FPS.
Even the best RTX 5070 Ti and 5070 cards barely differ in speed. TechSpot tested nine RTX 5070 Ti cards and found at most a 3% spread.
Prices are the hard part. Both GPUs sit far above list price because of the 2026 memory shortage. Key specs (TechPowerUp): both versions are 330 x 140 mm and three slots (63 mm thick). The RTX 5070 Ti version weighs 1,616 g and the RTX 5070 version 1,512 g. Each has a dual BIOS, three DisplayPort and two HDMI outputs, and a single 16-pin power connector.
What the tests show, RTX 5070 Ti: TechPowerUp measured 61°C at 30.8 dBA on the default BIOS and 66°C at about 25 dBA on the quiet BIOS. dBA measures loudness, and the mid-20s at TechPowerUp’s 50 cm distance is close to inaudible in a closed case. In TechSpot’s closed-case roundup the TUF peaked at 58°C, one degree behind the Gigabyte Gaming OC.
What the tests show, RTX 5070: TechPowerUp measured 61°C at 26.2 dBA by default and 67°C at 22.8 dBA on the quiet BIOS. The reviewer said he had to walk right up to the card to hear it. What the tests show, RTX 5070 Ti: In TechSpot’s nine-card roundup the Gaming OC was the coolest at 57°C after an hour of play in a closed case, and among the quieter cards. Key specs (MSI): the RTX 5070 Ti Ventus 3X OC is 303 x 121 x 49 mm and 1,073 g, with three fans. The RTX 5070 Ventus 2X OC is a very small 236 x 126 x 50 mm and just 774 g, with two fans. Both use a 16-pin connector and have one HDMI and three DisplayPort outputs. Neither has a dual BIOS.
What the tests show, RTX 5070 Ti: There are two Ventus 3X versions and they behave differently. TechPowerUp measured the plain Ventus 3X OC at 68°C and 40.9 dBA, the loudest RTX 5070 Ti in its table by a wide margin. The newer Ventus 3X PZ, which hides its power connector behind a removable backplate section, came in at 67°C and 33.4 dBA. TechSpot measured the PZ at 64°C in a closed case and named it its favourite RTX 5070 Ti for being compact, tidy and easy to install, even though it did not top the thermal charts.

Noise figures from TechPowerUp and HWCooling use different distances and equipment, so do not compare them with each other. All prices are approximate, as of September 2026, and change often.
How to Choose Between the Best RTX 5070 Ti and 5070 Cards
Start with case size. These cards run from 236 mm to 342 mm long and from 49 mm to 70 mm thick. A compact case rules out the Gigabyte RTX 5070 Ti Gaming OC straight away.
Match the cooler to the chip. The RTX 5070 Ti puts out up to 300 W, so a big three-fan cooler pays off in lower noise. The RTX 5070 is a 250 W chip, and TechPowerUp found most RTX 5070 partner cards are fairly quiet, so a smaller card is a more reasonable trade there.
Check the model suffix. On the RTX 5070 Ti, “Ventus 3X OC” and “Ventus 3X PZ” sound alike but differ by 7.5 dBA in TechPowerUp’s data. That is a clearly audible gap.
